Strabane Community Safety Partnership launches Community Safety Directory for Older People
May 2006
Strabane Community Safety Partnership has launched the first Community Safety directory for older people living in the district. The publication provides a useful compilation of information on how to access a range of services including Aid Call Systems, Alcohol & Drugs Services, Support with Anti-Social Behaviour, Benefits, Community Transport, Community Support and advice and more.
Cllr Tom Mc Bride, Chair of Strabane CSP said,
“It is with great pleasure that I present to you this new older people's community safety directory for the Strabane District Council Area. Strabane Community Safety Partnership has compiled this directory in an effort to achieve one of its strategic aims to reduce the fear of crime amongst older people, and vulnerable adults throughout our district. While Strabane District is relatively a safe place to live, there is a need to develop a range of projects such as this to ensure the public feel safe and reassured.”
