Tobacco Smoke Free Legislation
The Environmental Health Department is responsible for the enforcement of smoke-free legislation which came into effect on 30th April 2007 making it an offence to smoke in most workplaces and public places including work vehicles and public transport.
Legislation relating to the illegal sale of tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18 is also enforced by the Environmental Health Department.
